¡¡¡¡Between Nov. 7th to 9th, seven port and shipping enterprises received subsidies from Shenzhen Municipal Government at a total cost of RMB 39 million. This move was made to encourage shipping liners to open up more routes based around Shenzhen Port.
¡¡¡¡The seven enterprises involved are: Orient Overseas Container Liner (China) Co., Ltd., COSCO South China International Freight Co., Ltd., EVA Hong Kong Limited, Yang Ming Marine Transport (Hong Kong) Ltd., CSCL Shenzhen, NYK Group (China) and CMA CGM (China) Co., Ltd.
¡¡¡¡These seven enterprises, all international shipping liners, have together added 13 new shipping routes to the port, and have been supported by Shenzhen accordingly. Shenzhen Municipal Government will in the coming months: introduce the updated Financial Aid Plan on Port and Shipping Industry Development, which will be followed by favourable policies as well as support in land resources and the construction; encourage and push ports to develop the domestic trade container transportation and international transit, for enhancing Shenzhen Port¡¯s capacity to draw in more supply from feeder ports; actively promote the trial operation of Tonggu Channel, specially by welcoming those international shipping liners to make the best of this new channel. |
