PIL monitoring closely on the development of Tianjin blast

SINGAPORE- Pacific International Lines (PIL) and its container manufacturing subsidiary, Singamas are closely monitoring on the blast situation at Tianjin, China.

On behalf of PIL, Managing Director, Mr S.S Teo expressed his deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the accident and hope the injured will have a speedy recovery.

The accident has injured three Singamas workers. One forklift driver remains unaccounted for and thousands of containers damaged. PIL¡¯s local management at Singamas is in close contact with the affected workers and their families and will render their full support to them.

PIL reiterates strongly that the organization and its subsidiaries operate under the strictest standard of safety environment and employees¡¯ security is the company¡¯s top priority.

PIL is confident that the local authorities will be able to bring the situation under control and Singamas¡¯ management will ensure that the accident will not affect local operations and customer¡¯s needs.
